Football Recap: Denver Mount Fourth-Quarter Comeback Against Philadelphia, Baltimore Endure Historic Home-field Defeat

Denver Broncos 21–17 Philadelphia Eagles

Bo Nix found an 11-yard scoring throw and JK Dobbins added a two-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter as the Broncos overcame a two-touchdown disadvantage to deliver the Eagles their first loss of the campaign. The Broncos deflected the Eagles quarterback's final pass on the contest's last snap to hand the Super Bowl champions to just their second defeat in their last 22 games. The Broncos (3-2) got fortunate in their rally when the Philadelphia had a crucial play called back on a formation infraction called on star ball carrier Barkley.

Houston Texans 44–10 Baltimore Ravens

CJ Stroud threw for 244 yards and four touchdowns, and Houston (two wins and three losses) cruised to a 44-10 win over an injury-ravaged Ravens squad, matching both the biggest away victory in Texans' history and the worst home defeat in Ravens' history. Baltimore (one win and four losses) were missing star signal-caller Jackson, and that was far from their sole issue. Defensive standouts multiple defensive leaders all were absent, and the Ravens already were depleted on that side of the ball because of a cervical issue that ended the defensive lineman's season. Baltimore were also without All-Pro fullback Patrick Ricard and offensive lineman Stanley.

Colts Rout Raiders in One-Sided Affair

Indianapolis' running back ran for three touchdowns and a two-point conversion, and Daniel Jones threw two scoring throws as the Colts overwhelmed the Las Vegas Raiders. The 34-point margin was Indy's biggest since the 2013 season. Jones finished 20 passes out of 29 attempts for 212 yards and moved to four wins and one loss as a starter this year, surpassing his total wins over the past two seasons with the Giants. The running back carried 17 attempts for 66 yards and caught three passes for 20 yards. Indianapolis turned multiple takeaways into TDs. Las Vegas dropped to four wins and one loss.

Dallas Cowboys 37-22 New York Jets

Dallas' quarterback threw four scoring throws, guiding the Dallas Cowboys to a comfortable win over the New York Jets. Dallas put points on the board on two 90-yard drives in the second quarter, even with being without key linemen on the blocking unit. Javonte Williams gained 135 yards and a score and also caught a receiving touchdown. Dallas, now two wins, two losses, and a tie, rebounded from a 40-40 tie against the Packers last week. The Jets remain winless at 0-5 in Aaron Glenn's first season as head coach.

Minnesota Vikings 21–17 Cleveland Browns

Minnesota wideout Addison grabbed a 12-yard touchdown pass from the quarterback with 25 seconds remaining to secure the Vikings a win over the Cleveland Browns at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This methodical march gave the Vikings (3-2) a much-needed win on their overseas journey, which started with a 24-21 loss to the Steelers in Dublin last Sunday. This also marred the rookie's debut as starter, as the Browns rookie positioned his squad (1-4) in contention by passing for two touchdown passes. Fellow rookie Judkins rushed for 110 rushing yards on 23 attempts. Wentz overcame a shoulder injury that temporarily sent him to the locker room and led two touchdown marches in the second half.

Miami Dolphins 24-27 Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young passed for two scores and Rico Dowdle ran for 206 yards and a touchdown as the Carolina Panthers came back against the Dolphins in their home stadium. Young's short pass to rookie tight end Mitchell Evans with under two minutes to go gave the Carolina (two wins and three losses) the decisive advantage as they equaled the largest comeback to secure victory in team history by overcoming a 17-point hole. Young had a horrific first quarter, but he finished 19 completions on 30 attempts for 198 passing yards with an interception. The backup, replacing the sidelined starter, did his damage on the ground on 23 attempts, falling four yards shy of the team's all-time rushing mark. The Dolphins' quarterback completed 27 of 36 for 256 yards with three touchdowns and Jaylen Waddle gained 110 receiving yards on six receptions and added a score, but the Dolphins (one win and four losses) dropped to 0-3 in road games.

New York Giants 14–26 New Orleans Saints

New Orleans' quarterback threw a long touchdown to receiver Shaheed, safety Jordan Howden scooped up a loose ball 86 yards for a touchdown, and New Orleans defeated the turnover-prone New York Giants for the Saints' first victory under first-year head coach Moore. The QB secured his maiden win in 11 professional starts, throwing for 225 yards without any mistakes. Giants rookie QB Dart, who secured his first career start last week, passed for 202 yards and two scores, but also turned the ball over three times. New York gave up possession on five separate plays in all, with none worse than when the defender stripped running back Cam Skattebo, leading to Howden's TD. Each squad are 1-4.
