It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if never given the chance.

In the end, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her latest masterpiece.

Initially recognized as the teenage relative of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her nation didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory arrived three months after her bow and seven global championships have followed from 10 attempts across formats.

The gritty keeper was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India briefly halted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to rethink our standards," Healy commented earlier.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was awarded tournament MVP. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Many contend the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this performance followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it has been a challenging time because I feel like I've had no rhythm at all," commented Healy.

"Yet the moment you take the field, your competitive instincts take over and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there the batsman was underway.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was removed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this championship should hear.

In recent days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they exited last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at an important competition.
