In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
